Graduate Assistantships
The Department of Technology offers graduate assistantships throughout the calendar year. Graduate assistants serve the department in a variety of capacities: on funded research projects, as assistants to graduate faculty members, or as instructors in selected courses. Full-time graduate, research, and teaching assistants work 20 hours per week for 15 weeks. Stipends for full-time graduate assistants range from $7,000 to $8,000 for the academic year. Part-time graduate, research, and teaching assistants work 10 hours per week for 15 weeks. Stipends for part-time graduate assistantships range from $3,500 to $4,000 per academic year.
Recipients of assistantships must be fully admitted to a graduate degree program and carry a course load of 9-12 semester hours. An application for an assistantship must be completed and submitted to the Graduate School with your application, or prior to consideration for an assistantship. It is also highly recommended that you contact the program coordinator, Dr. Marie Hoepfl , to inform her of your interest as soon as your application is submitted. |
